The pumping station is the pulsating heart of each snowmaking system. Depending on dimensioning, it may contain high-pressure pumps, self-cleaning filters, UV filters, compressors, air dehumidifyers, automatic gate valves, check valves or cooliong towers.
Plants with constat pressure or throughput are supplied, depending on the requirements, either with pump batteries (several small radial pumps) or with speed controlled radial pumps (with DC drive or with a hydraulic skid control clutch). Soft start technology is available as well as frequency converters.
Water supply and distribution along the slopes is controlled by motorized gate valves and automatic shutoffs.
Dimensioning of the individualö pumping stations as well as construction planning is performed internally by highly-skilled technicians, whose primary aim is optimization of the system.
