Hydrants

Typically manual systems use hydrants/electrants. These consist of a Rogers high pressure hydrant fit for an operating pressure of up to 84 bar.
This hydrant was specifically designed for snowmaking systems and is therefore most suitable for tough operations in low temperatures with high water pressures. Rogers high-pressure hydrants are made of high-grade materials. Head and foot are made of cast bronze, the lead screw and the valve seating as well as the valve spring are made of stainless steel, the 2" riser is galvanized, the flow regulator is made of Delrin. The flow controller allows uncompromising regulation even under extreme pressure. The hydrant is operated manually using a handle.
The tapping point is also equipped with a lockable galvanized moist-environment cabinet. Each cabinet is fitted with a 63 A circuit breaker with electric locking, so that in case of disconnected plugs any voltage is turned off. Additionally, the cabinet is equipped with terminals for the power cable (input and output), eliminating the need to plant sleeve sockets under ground and the connection can be inspected at all times. The terminal is located as high as possible behind the switch to keep it out of the snowmelt water in spring.
