During snowmaking operations, the "raw material" water must permanently be available in suficient quantity, so as to fully exploit every minute of cool periods. In cases where supplies may not be sufficient, it is good practice to build reservoirs. Demac is offering various varieties: Water reservoirs can be constructed in the form of circular or rectangular basins with capacities up to 5,000 m³ or as storage lakes holding up to 300,000 m³. The capacity is adapted to the requirement by the system. As a matter of course, the natural storage basin is also part of our product range. Compressed air supply as part of the storage provides permanent airing and cooling of the water and also slows icing of the surface.
